In addition to its collection of noisy waveforms, this Audio Unit can sustain a drone at any chosen frequency and apply ring modulation to its input, producing a characteristic distortion that enhances tonal complexity. This versatility proves particularly useful when chaining multiple instances in series or parallel, offering a range of textural possibilities.

As an Audio Unit, installation requires running the accompanying (non-functioning) Line Hum app. Despite its minimal setup requirements, it delivers a convincing emulation of environmental hum and noise that can enrich a digital mix with an authentic analog feel.
